Discovering New Music Doesn't Have To Be Hard

I love discovering new music. It's really the purest form of being a DJ and one I still enjoy the most to this day. Over the years it has gotten easier and easier to come across new music, but an app like Shazam definitely took the game of discovery to a whole new level. To prove how easy it is to discover new sounds, I left the app on auto for about a week and turns out you can discover some pretty interesting tunes by having your phone do all the hard work for you.

Gabriel Garzon-Montano - Sour Mango

Sour Mango is a really awesome tune. I listen to a lot of Beats 1 Radio and this must have been Shazamed during one of those times. Gabriel Garzon-Montano is a fairly new artist with only 1 album under his belt, but I think he is destined for great things.

Mont Jake - Daydreaming

I honestly don't know where I heard Daydreaming, or where my phone heard it rather but it's an absolute tune! One of those songs that paint a visual landscape and you don't necessarily see it, but can certainly imagine it while listening to the song. It doesn't get annoying so you can easily replay it over and over and over again. Trust me.

Couros - Never Break

I'm a sucker for amazingly designed minimal covers. Couros' debut E.P. is a beautiful work of art. His music is just as incredible. Beautiful, striking and perfectly arranged. If you haven't heard it yet, listen to it immediately.

Just keep listening, you'll be amazed at what you will discover.
